దేవీబాలార్కవర్ణాభవతు సుఖకరీ ప్రాణశక్తిః పరానః పై మంత్రాన్ని చదువుతూ ప్రాణప్రతిష్ఠ చేసుకోవాలి.
కలశ స్థాపన వేదిక మధ్యలో ఎర్రటి వస్త్రాన్ని వేసి దాని మీద ధాన్యాన్ని పోసి కలశాన్ని ఉంచాలి. బంగారం, వెండి, రాగి పాత్రను కలశంగా పెట్టి అందులో మూడు భాగాలు నీటిని పోయాలి. కలశంలో మామిడి ఆకులను వేయాలి. వేదిక మీద పోసిన ధాన్యంలో తామర పువ్వును గీసి లక్ష్మీ విగ్రహాన్ని ఉంచాలి. అలాగే ఒక పళ్లెంలో కొన్ని నాణేలను ఉంచాలి. తరువాత కలశాన్ని కుంకుమతో అలకరించి ఈ కింది మంత్రాన్ని చదువుకోవాలి.
‘గంగేచ యమునే చైవ గోదావరి సరస్వతి నర్మదే సింధు కావేరి జలేస్మిన్ సన్నిధిం కురు ఆయాంతు దేవపూజార్థం – మమ దురితక్షయకారకాః కలశోదకేన పూజాద్రవ్యాణి దైవమాత్మానంచ సంప్రోక్ష్య
లక్ష్మీ దేవికి తిలకాధారణ చేసి, విగ్రహం ముందు పూలు, కుంకుమ, పసుపు, గంధం, నైవేద్యం, పండ్లు, కొబ్బరి, మొదలైనవి సమర్పణలు ఉంచాలి. అలాగే బంగారు, వెండి ఆభరణాలు, ముత్యాలు, నాణేలను కూడా సమర్పించవచ్చు. లక్ష్మీదేవికి పంచామృతాలతో అభిషేకం చేయాలి. ఆ తర్వాత శుద్దోదక స్నానం చేయాలి. ఆభరణం, ముత్యాన్ని నీటిలో వేసి ఆ నీటితో అభిషేకం చేయాలి. విగ్రహాన్ని వస్త్రంతో తుడిచి కలశంలో పెట్టాలి.
